Linear guide technology

Bosch Rexroth linear guide technology components are designed to enable the construction of a diverse range of applications using the basic mechanical elements modular assembly system. With these parts it is possible to create durable and cost-effective products such as handling facilities, feed systems and enclosures.

A wide range of cam roller guides, linear brushings and shafts, and ball rail systems are available to satisfy top demands in terms of loads and positioning accuracy.

the drive concept

Linear guides are driven by the shaft in the drive head. Drive heads with short drive shafts are used directly to fit a motor, while drive heads with longer drive shafts and centre shafts are used to fit gears. It is necessary to use vaious motor types in conjection with immediate gears, each dependent upon the speeds required for movement of the application.

The linear guides available from Bosch Rexroth use a standard shaft and simple connection dimensions for easy self-construction of the appropriate connection flange, with a wide variety of possible combinations thanks to the multitude of drive components currently available on the market.

Longitudinal end connectors secure the drive head to the profile. The motor or the immediate gear flange can be fitted as a complete unit with the drive head from the inside, from left or from right. The use of synchronous shafts enables several linear axes to be operated with a single drive.

Linear guides

Linear guides can be created from the module systems by using the components in the Bosch Rexroth product line for constructing roller guides (LF) and linear guides with recirculating ball bearings (KF). Both the LF and KF linear guides can be adapted to your exact requirements. Both can be driven with toothed belts.

Roller guides can be used with applications at high speeds with medium loads, especially useful for the construction of manipulator devices, supply systems, guides in work machines, as well as for many other applications. High load capacities ensure strong performance at every level.

Linear guides with recirculating ball bearings accommodate high forces and moments, regardless of the load applied. Excellent precision and compact construction provides high quality linear guides free from play. Guide rails are supplied with guide shuttle already mounted and adjusted. These linear guides have a number of uses, from accurate handling systems to high precision machine-integrated guides for diverse tasks, keeping construction and assembly expenses low,

Non-driven linear guides

In many industrial applications the guiding of linear movements requires no drive. Clip profiles and guide rail linear guide components are available in 3 sizes, including the cam roller cassettes, providing non-driven guide solutions. The ball-bearing circulating guide as an assembled component offers yet another option of guiding linear movements with extra precision.

Roller guides are available and provide simple mounting on strut profiles or directly onto flat surfaces, such as machines. They are very accurate and are resistant to torsion forces. Roller guides are available in any trolley length and can operate at high speeds.
